Script is an iconic part of baseball’s visual language; from 1987 to 2000, for fourteen consecutive seasons, the World Series was defined by its script lettering. It was time to make a comeback.

A Postseason for the history books, a World Series for the ages.
The 2025 World Series was truly something special. From numerous record-setting Postseason moments to back-to-back Dodgers wins, and all the highs and lows in between, it was a series that will be talked about and remembered for decades.
Working with our partners at MLB, we wanted to reinvent and refresh the World Series – not just what it looks like, but the emotions it elicits, the memories it brings back, and celebrate how it is an event emblematic of all that came before, and all that is to come for America’s pastime. The World Series is the grand finale of the season, the pinnacle of greatness in baseball, and the stage to one of the most exciting sporting events of the year. We started by looking at baseball’s rich and expansive history to inform what the future of MLB’s most prestigious event should look like.

The Script
Script lettering connects major league baseball’s great players to its passionate fans across the globe. It has been a visual throughline of America’s pastime since its inception. It was only natural that it was revived and refreshed as the heart of baseball’s most prestigious event. We took inspiration and elements from the previous World Series script logos from 1987 to 2000 and created a bespoke World Series lettering that felt both modern and nostalgic. The script is supported by a beveled variation of Flare Extended, a typeface we created with MLB for use in a Postseason messaging.
The Diamond
The diamond is the symbol of baseball’s grand stage, where fans watch every play with attentive eyes as each pitch & swing can make all the difference. The diamond is also emblematic of the World Series Champions and the precious stones adorning their Championship rings.
The Trophies
The Commissioner’s Trophy: the ultimate symbol of achievement in baseball and one of the most visually distinct awards in professional sports. This bold and graphic key art is an abstract representation of the postseason trophies - iconic symbols of indelible moments in baseball history.
